United States Supreme Court to decide FCC Profanity March 17, 2008

Oh Glory Be! The USSC is getting active on a whole bunch of things near and dear to me, what with their interpretation of the 2nd Amendment coming in June, and now their looking at the FCC’s fleeting profanity rule. Two levels of courts have already told the FCC that their new rules concerning fleeting profanity were wrong, hell I think all the fucking FCC rules regarding profanity are wrong.

More to the point look at the comments on the linked article. These are people who’ve never heard of parental discretion, or the V-chip. I wish someone would point out to them what idiots they are.

In any case I’ve long been of the opinion that the FCC should be out of the RF content game, and instead be a bandwidth manager.
