AFA Silencing the Christians Part V

This one is my favorite. We get to hear them cry horror at the persecution! I hope these religious fundamentalist asswipes are prosecuted as well as persecuted.

Honestly, I don’t care if you practice your worship in the privacy of your own home or in your church. But when it crosses the line into the public sphere, I get very antagonistic. The part about the mother reading a Bible passage to a kindergarten class really riles me. They’re not even old enough to know the alphabet or how to spell a word, but they’ll remember a fairy tale told by an adult won’t they. That’s indoctrination of the worst kind and I dare say, child abuse.

I’m off to watch the video now and I’m sure I’ll update this post once I do. See I’m guilty of the same thing the AFA does, don’t even read or watch but comment on it anyhow.

I’ve watched 4:37 seconds of it so far. The asshole attorneys actually went into the FEDERAL courts to obtain in injunction against the STATE acting. The attorneys should be fucking disbarred for that little stunt. Of course the petition for the injunction failed. Nice to see the Federal Court not buying into the fundie bullshit. I would hope the court filed for recovery of fees for such a frivolous motion.

And at 7:58 we have the church spokesperson saying it was never their intent to discriminate. They’ll do anything to make themselves look like the victim when reality they probably want to see us all buried up to our eyeballs in sand, or maybe our heads rolling on the ground after being chopped off. They’re using the Bible to justify their hatred.

Then around 9:45 we find out that a kindergarten age kids favorite book is the Bible? More like Mommy’s favorite book, the only one she probably thinks she ever read. Sorry cupcake, single source documents don’t stand peer review. Your Bible is a work of fiction, a fairy tale. And of course Donna Busch is a fat hausfrau. Figures, I hope little Wesley turns out gay. I’d love to see Donna’s meltdown then. Stupid bitch can’t even pronounce proselytizing correctly (11:43), it comes out prosteletizing when she says it. Keep reading that Bible hon’, someday you’ll get it.

And oh, oh, the emotional distress of little Wesley. Oh, the drama, oh!

The part that irritates the most, yet again they took it federal not state. It’s like they know the state courts will just toss them out on their ass. Once again the outcome was predictable, they lost. Good, at least the federal bench hasn’t been completely saturated with ideologues yet despite the best efforts of Bush and his cronies.

And Donna says “What’s fair and reasonable for the Christians….”. There it is, that expectation of respect. They deserve no such thing just because of their religious beliefs.

The best one is the Canadian pastor who got slapped with charges of hate speech for his letter to the editor. This guy spouts the usual line, hate the sin, love the sinner when in reality he’d love to see us all dead or locked up.

It’s a video series well worth watching if only to make fun of the poor prosecuted Christians.

Places of worship become the latest victims of the pro-homosexual movement on this episode of “Speechless … Silencing the Christians.”

A New Jersey church association finds itself in a legal battle when lesbian couples sue for the right to use the church’s seaside worship pavilion to hold a civil union ceremony. A mother in Pennsylvania is told that reading a passage from the Bible to her son’s kindergarten class is against the law. Instead, she is encouraged to read a book about witches. A Canadian pastor faces a hate crimes tribunal for writing a letter to the editor of his local newspaper: a chilling precursor to what Americans will face if similar laws are passed.
