The violence in Greece December 10, 2008Posted by truthspew in Uncategorized.
It seems as thought he main argument is the move by the conservative government to basically disenfranchise the workers. Couple that with a police cluster fuck of killing a 15 year old and that’s enough to make the pot boil over. The U.S. has come close to this a few times, the Civil War wasn’t just about slavery but states rights vs. federal rights.
But there’s something I note about the photos coming out of Athens and the like. It seems the protesters have no idea of police tactics. I’ve alluded to this before, but if you want to battle police forces you have to use the same ideas, communication methods and tactics they use. I couldn’t help but notice that the police in formation left their rear and flanks wide open and unprotected. That would be a prime vector of attack.
But the main thing I’m getting from what is going on in Greece only supports what I’ve said before. In Greece the government is afraid of the people. This is how it should be here in the U.S., the government should be afraid of us, not the other way around.
But to all those in Greece that are suffering through this, I lend my voice and support.
