Oh this is great. The AFA has their nads in a lather again. This time its over McDonald’s being a sponsor in the San Francisco Gay Pride parade and festival.

McDonald’s sponsors gay pride parade

Dear Truthspew,

McDonald’s says they “stand by and support our people to live and work in a society free of discrimination and harassment,” here is what they ! won’t tell you. McDonald’s helped sponsor the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade. Want to see what McDonald’s considers worthy of support? Click here. (Warning: These photos are extremely offensive and graphic.)

AFA asked McDonald’s to remain neutral in the culture war. The company refused, stating they will continue to support the gay agenda including same-sex marriage. AFA has called for a boycott of McDonald’s restaurants.

McDonald’s spokesman Bill Whitman told the Washington Post that those (even Christians) who oppose homosexual marriage are motivated by hate, saying that “… hatred has no place in our culture.”

This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals or how homosexual employees are treated. It is about McDonald’s choosing to put the full resources of their corporation behind promoting the homosexual agenda.

To help promote the gay agenda, McDonald’s paid $20,000 to become an official “organizational ally and corporate partner” of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and secure a seat on the group’s board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies against laws protecting marriage as between a man and a woman.

Get ready for the link to the images they find so shocking. First of all, in only one picture do I see a gent with it all hanging out. The rest of the pix have genitalia covered. It’s just they object to showing so much skin I suppose.

They even put up this warning:

WARNING: The images below contain male full-frontal nudity. Please be aware and exercise caution before viewing these images. If you are under 18, please leave this page!

Ok, you’ve been warned. Prepare to be scandalized.

Note that at the very bottom of the pix is one of a little girl with a balloon and the caption reads “And, sadly, yes. This little girl was exposed to everything you see above. Thanks, McDonald’s.”

Yes, thank you McDonald’s for not caving in to the demands of a bunch of religious fuckwits. Because that is precisely what the people at the AFA are, they are the people who would like to force their religious world view on the rest of us.

Christianity has had a roughly two millennium chance to get things right and they’ve failed miserably at the task. It is time for us to move past the religious bullshit and embrace a concept called personal responsibility.

Move toward spirituality and that spirit tells you to love one another, not start angry pogroms because a man has sex with a man, or a woman with a woman, or even a man with a woman. You’d be surprised, some of the more mentally unbalanced in the AFA think that even straight people shouldn’t have sex, or at least not sex that they’ve put the AFA stamp of approval upon.

I think we still need Gay Pride (Yes, I know, LGBTQ….) because every day we’re surrounded by straight pride, including the asinine blabbering of the people at the AFA. We see PDA’s, we see it in the majority of literature, television, movies, etc.

And then there is the homophobic attitude of the AFA. I guarantee you there’s more than one closeted homo in that organization. Look at the track record of others who were vociferously anti-gay. I’ll use Ted Haggard as an example. Yep, don’t piss off a gay hustler is the only advice I could give to Teddy Boy. Look at the most homophobic congressmen who’ve been caught with pants down and worshiping at the altar of the cock.

We’re EVERYWHERE. And we need to make it clear that we won’t take second class citizenship. And this gay man will not stand for it any longer. I’m politically active too.

Sign up for the AFA’s email alerts, I did it some time ago and anytime they really piss me off I post it here.

The latest is the following:

Homosexual Day of Silence – Is Your Child’s School on the list?

Dear ,

Because of the action of concerned parents, hundreds of schools have removed their school as a listed participant in the pro-homosexual “Day of Silence.” You can join the fight for your children too!

On, Friday, April 25, several thousand schools across the nation will be observing “Day of Silence (DOS).” DOS is a nationwide push to promote the homosexual lifestyle in public schools.

When AFA alerted parents of this public school classroom disruption by homosexual student activists, many took action immediately! If you haven’t gotten involved, it’s critical that you do so today!

A simple phone call or letter to school administrators, telling them your child will not attend school the day it observes DOS, may be enough to cause some participating schools to change their plans. Sample letter here.

Please listen to a 60-second radio ad warning parents about Day of Silence, then forward this email to your local Christian or conservative radio station. Ask them to broadcast it as a Public Service Announcement (PSA)! MP3 file or WAV file

Click here for Frequently Asked Questions about the Day of Silence.

In the past week alone, over 200 schools have announced they are dropping plans to participate. Please, get involved for the sake or your children, and all children, today!

Take Action!

What should parents do? Check with your local school principal to see if your child’s school will be participating in DOS. If the school is participating, notify other parents about DOS and ask them to join in keeping their children out of school on that day.

Here is a partial list of schools which are expected to participate in DOS: If your school is listed, call your local school and ascertain whether they officially or passively allow students to observe “Day of Silence.” If your school is listed, please double-check with your local school to see if the school is actually sponsoring DOS. Sometimes the “participation” turns out to be a handful of kids who are saying they have a homosexual club and are observing this protest day, but without school endorsement. We sincerely hope your school, if listed, is not actually an official sponsor. If it is not, we will take them off the list, if a school official asks us to do so. Please e-mail your correction to webmaster@missionamerica.com.

Some tips:

1. Be sure of the date that DOS is planned for your school. (The national date is April 25, but some schools observe DOS on a different date.)
2. Inform the school of your intention to keep your child home on that date and explain why. Click here for a sample letter.
3. Explain to your children why you’re taking a stand: Homosexual behavior is not an innate identity; it is a sinful, unnatural and destructive behavior. No school should advance a physically, emotionally, and spiritually destructive sexual lifestyle to students.
4. Schools do not have to tolerate students remaining silent in class. Schools can adopt policies that require parental consent for students to attend any club, including those premised on sexual orientation or gender identity. Click here for more information from Attorney Mat Staver with Liberty Counsel who provides free information to parents, students, and schools regarding their rights associated with noncompliance on the Day of Silence.

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution? Click here to make a donation.

Sincerely,

Don

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman American Family Association

The PDF file can be found here. I suggest we use the letter except modify it in support of the Day of Silence.

I’m so sick and tired of being told that I’m pushing an agenda, I’m not doing so and neither are the other gay people I know. I haven’t even gotten my copy of the gay agenda nor have many people that I know.

I only know that I hope Wildmon suffers a debilitating anyeurism or something equally painful. I know, it’s evil of me but when they keep putting out shit like this it irks me something fierce.

When he spouts religious bullshit like this:

3. Explain to your children why you’re taking a stand: Homosexual behavior is not an innate identity; it is a sinful, unnatural and destructive behavior. No school should advance a physically, emotionally, and spiritually destructive sexual lifestyle to students.

I feel that I have to take this apart, point by point. No homosexuality is not an identity, it is my sexuality. Otherwise I am a person and deserve to be treated like every other person, not discriminated against for who it is that I chose to love.

By stating is sinful, unnatural and destructive Wildmon is clearly invoking religious dogma which has no place in secular and moral society. Since I don’t believe in the Judeo-Christian God, it isn’t sinful. And when you look at the Biblical argument, lest we forget that the Bible also sanctions slavery, women as chattel etc. Yet we conveniently say those are taken out of context while the prohibition against homosexual content is constantly bandied about. They don’t talk about the other parts of Leviticus, particularly those indicating one shouldn’t eat shellfish, or sleep with ones wife when she is menstruating.

Since homosexuality isn’t exclusive to homo sapiens I can conclude that once again Wildmon is pulling this out of his ass. This is typical of all the religious characters I’ve run across in my lifetime. They’ll take a few passages out of context to justify their discomfort with and bigotry against a class of people.

As far as being destructive, how so? Just because we can’t procreate naturally doesn’t mean we can’t have a positive role in society. But the religious would deny that to us.

Calling homosexuality physically destructive is interesting. Perhaps he should talk to Dr. John Corvino about the “parts don’t fit” argument.

Emotionally we’re no different from the heterosexuals. We have our well balances, our slightly off kilter, and out batshit crazy too. There is no difference whatsoever since emotionally we span the spectrum.

The spirituality part is what shows Wildmon’s hand. He’s a hateful religious bigot. If I’m wrong and there is a heaven and hell, Wildmon is most certainly headed for hell. Actually I’d like to create that hell for him. I’d put him in a room with a bunch of hot guys sucking and fucking. It’d be fun to watch Wildmon’s head explode.

Another thing related to Dr. Corvino is the statement about calling it a lifestyle. No, it’s our life! Not lifestyle. To imply style means we chose it. I know in my case I didn’t choose to be gay, I have been gay all my life.

In short, I’d like to personally tell Wildmon to take a flying leap off a steep cliff.

I finished reading Edwin Black’s “Internal Combustion”. Very interesting book in that even back in the early part of the 20th century they had urban electric vehicles with ranges of 100 or so miles.

But he spends an awful lot of time slamming GM, Standard Oil, Firestone, etc. Standard Oil is no more, it’s nearest equivalent is Exxon-Mobil.

In any case, up until about 1948-1950 Rhode Island had electric trackless trolleys. They went everywhere and were clean, efficient, and well liked. They got their power from an overhead catenary. No third rail for Rhode Island.
Electric Trackless Trolleys

But in that period of 1948-1950 a consortium called National City Lines convinced Rhode Islanders that stinking diesel buses were better. So we ended up with these:
Orion V bus

Oh sure they run low sulfur diesel fuel now but they still spew particulates and other nasties into the air particularly certain forms of carbon monoxide and dioxide.

Then of course they’ve got the Chance Coach trolleys that run on CNG but while CNG is billed as a clean fuel it still generates carbon monoxide among other things.

They keep toying with light rail in Rhode Island and it’d more likely than not be electric light rail but it never gets anywhere. Same as they keep talking about commuter rail stations in Warwick, RI, Wickford, RI, and Westerly, RI but that doesn’t seem to be moving very fast. I think the Warwick station (Which is 1,500 feet from T.F. Green Airport) is progressing but get this, the only one that has agreed to stop there is the MBTA. Amtrak won’t stop there.

The big issue in Rhode Island is that we don’t have anymore room to build highways and roadways. So we have to start looking at alternatives and mass transit is one those alternatives, in fact the only alternative.

We need to do something and quickly. But I’m thinking of leaving here anyhow, the job and housing picture sucks.

I’m reading Edwin Black’s book “Internal Combustion: How Corporations and Governments addicted the world to oil and rerailed the alternatives”

Very interesting book. I’m currently reading the chapter about “The GM Conspiracy”. I can see the damage done to my own city by the front company National City Lines which was owned by GM whose Chevy Volt is a joke, and the E85 initiative just gives ADM more money since ethanol comes from corn. , Standard Oil the progenitor of Exxon-Mobil, Firestone, et al.

We had both tracked and trackless trolleys here in Rhode Island. All vestiges of that are gone now with the exception of the archives of the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority. They have photos of the old trolleys, the trackless trolleys etc. The common feature of both were that they were powered by electricity. Matter of fact big oil as well as big railroads and car manufacturers really did all they could to kill electric powered vehicles. And now RIPTA management screams bloody murder because costs are out of control due mostly to fuel, second to personnel.

The problem is that electro-motive is much more powerful than gasoline, diesel or coal. That’s right. They did tests between the first diesel-electrics and pure electric trains back then and the electrics outperformed the fossil fueled vehicles.

So today I was thinking about this and thought to myself, how about we bring back electric powered public transit. Oh you could still use the big 40 foot buses but why not use inductive power, bury the magnets in the roadway and go from there. Magnetic induction powers things like mag-lev trains, etc. In the cases of wheeled street vehicles the levitation component wouldn’t be necessary, just the power transfer. I’d love to see that used here as a pilot since RI is so small it’d be feasible. No tracks, no overhead catenary, just a roadway with buses humming silently down them. And of course with the DARPA Grand Challenge Urban scenario we’ll sooner than later see vehicles being driven by computer. That would pretty much solve most of RIPTA’s heavier expenses.

Granted, the outlays for this would be fairly high. But they’d pay dividends for years to come. The problem is that we don’t have any politicians who are truly visionary in Rhode Island.

And there are certainly people would argue that power generation pollutes but the scale on which it pollutes would be much smaller than having hundreds of diesel powered buses traveling the roadways.

Europe got the best deal since much of their public transit is light rail and that light rail is powered by electricity. Corporations don’t have such a stranglehold over Europe since there’s no notion of them having the same rights as a person. Corporations in the United States seem to hold that they have such rights.

So we need to do two things, first disabuse corporations from their thinking regarding rights by modifying the Constitution to exclude them from any rights granted within.

The second thing we need to do is lean on our politicians, or maybe this should be the first thing since that is how we get the Constitutional change going.

Ok – so NBC understands that you can’t broadcast this but if you put it on YouTube it’s all right.

The reason it’s ok to do this is because one has to actively decide to watch on the web, whereas on TV well, just anyone might come across such trash. You see the nonsense of that, don’t you? I mean there are a couple hundred TV channels. If you don’t like it, you have to the choice to actively flip away from it or shut the damned box off.

Anyhow, pretty funny song from the SNL crew titled “My Dick in a Box”.
